other many united oppressed people of color, including our progressive

Nevertheless it’s also very important for US RAZA to be
“well prepared” for their eventual reaction as a defeated people while licking
their wounds, therefore WE must strive for OUR self-determination within Aztlan

At most of the Republican controlled state legislative
districts in this nation, continue to enact Brown Juan Cuervo anti-immigration
“laws”, race hatred is gaining momentum with a rash of crimes on a daily occurrence.
At this point in time, these states in mention are now in the process of
legislating anti-immigrant “laws” who are given the “red light” to outright
discriminate “legally” against those who are suspicious looking, speak a
“foreign” language, practice a different religion, do not look like “them” and
most of all, those who refuse to “assimilate” into their Euro-American
“culture”!
These American apartheid “laws” against Brown people is just
a “legal” façade smoke screen for our fascist enemies to discriminate! Bottom
line, this is their century’s old white man’s legacy, to feel superior to other
non-white races. Yesterday, it was “COLORED ONLY” / “WHITES ONLY” during the
Black Jim Crow days of some 50-60 years ago and their prior HIS-story to that.
Today it’s the “new and improved” 2012 Brown Juan Cuervo coming of age! Now
it’s OUR turn at bat…, PERIOD!
And as I wrote previously, it’s NOT going to get any
better…, only worse! For those white washed “Americanized” generic HI-spanics
who are in the false belief that their gringo patrones y amos (ah-mos = white
slave masters) love their little “brown brothers”…; “Oh Pancho! You’re a good
messkin muchacho (boy)…, you’re different! You’re not like ‘them’ (Mexicans)!” Retardados

At this point in time, there are Republican state
“lawmakers” in Sacramento, Ca. who are adamantly attempting to introduce their
usual ala Arizona SB 1070, but since WE are already the majority population in California
as WE just handed President Obama an overwhelming victory, thereby the
Republican adherent adversaries can rant and rave to their bigoted blue eye
Devil evil heart’s content with rabies oozing out of their snouts, but their
barking to the four winds is all in vain and disastrous for their diminishing
like minded waning bigoted population on this state and the throughout this
nation! It won’t be long before WE will reclaim ALL of our former stolen
territories from California to Texas…,
and beyond!

These same Republican “lawmakers”, on a municipal, state and
national level, are in the erroneous belief that all Brown people, regardless
if they are citizens or not, should be deported as an “inferior race”. Many of
these white rightwing American AfriKKKaner (Afrikaners are white
pro-segregationist people in the former apartheid Pre-Nelson Mandela South
Africa 1948-1994) minded people are simply diehard ideological race separatist
adherents. These “lawmakers” are like a sub-humanoid fermenting walking
terminal cancer…, they have no cure in sight! They are no different than those
American homegrown TERRORIST MINUTEMEN, Neo-Nazi NSM (National Socialist
Movement) Brown Shirts, Tea Party Goose Steppers, Swastika wearing Skinhead
extremists, etc. All these Mother Nature’s rejects will never cease their
agenda to further their “WHITES ONLY” doctrine of MANIFEST DESTINY.

On the other hand, “La Migra” aka I.C.E. (Immigration and
Customs Enforcement) from the West Coast of San Diego, Ca. to Southwest
Brownsville, Texas (My native
birthplace.), are still “recruiting” Brown people to join their “Migra” forces
as ‘Indian Scouts”…, and here is how. Ironically, during one of my vacations a
few years ago, where I spent it in my native Brownsville, there was something
that caught my eye and my immediate attention within seconds as I stopped to
eat at a burger joint at this establishment. While eating my burger and fries,
from a few yards away, across the street actually, I happened to look up at the
nearest giant billboard sign, below next to a tire repair shop and saw this
shocking advertisement; …“JOIN THE U.S. BORDER PATROL”!
It took me by total surprise to get hold of myself as I was
stunned to see this kind of “recruitment” propaganda with what seemed to be a
HI-spanic Border Patrol agent summoning other HI-spanics to become an ICE agent
(“Indian Scout”) to hunt down, track and help deport their own Brown race. I
took a snap photo shot of this particular billboard which I still keep today as
a reminder that “brown” Indian Scouts are still alive and well at the behest of
their “white gringo fathers”! However, in all fairness, I would be amiss if I
did not mention that I did see a few Stepnfetchit house kneegrow “Indian
Scouts” within their midst too in this Rio Grande
Valley border city.
Here in California,
I have yet to see one of these ICE “Indian Scout” migra recruiting billboards…,
and I hope to NEVER see one! Maybe there are some of these billboards that
already exist in this state and I am not aware of it. I feel like vomiting just
at the mere sight of any of these despicable self-hating “brown” U.S. Border
Patrol “Indian Scouts”, especially when I see them wearing this particular
“migra” (Border Patrol) green uniform! Sadly but true, I also met two of my own
distant family members down there who were wearing their Border Patrol “Migra”
agent uniforms! Also while there, I went to have breakfast at a popular Mexican
restaurant with one of my relatives, and to my distaste and utter disgust…, I
just happened to had been seated in front of two HI-spanic Border Patrol
“Indian Scouts”! One even had the rank of “Captain” on his green shirt uniform
lapel to boot! ...What a shame for these two self-hating migra vendidos!
Yet, on our other side of the political equation, WE have
some of our own Brown politico lawmakers in every facet of the Democratic
Party, from local to national level, who are feverishly fighting the good
fights for the Dream Act and Immigration Reform as they counter the extremist
Neo-Con Republican induced apartheid Brown Juan Cuervo (Jim Crow) zealots in
Washington D.C. It’s important to know, there are righteous legislators of ALL
colors, including progressive non-racist whites, who are also fighting on our
side of the struggle against these mostly white fascist Republican bigots and a
few renegade “Blue Dog DixiecRATS” who term themselves as (pseudo) “democrats”.
For those politicos fighting on our side against the fascist
Republican “lawmakers”, I say; “Mil gracias!” (“A thousand thanks!”) Oh yes, it
would be unfair to not expose a few Republicscumbags of “color” who have also
forgotten how they once were the “kneegrows” and “HI-spanics” residing at their
master’s plantation/hacienda once a upon a time! I guess these ungrateful miscreants
of “color” have been given the “green light” to eat at their dinner tables…, but
they still can’t marry their white daughters! ...NOTHING HAS CHANGED!
If there was ever one real RAZA freedom liberation fighter
on our corner within this modern day Brown Juan Cuervo racial adversity and
whom I have come to admire unconditionally, it’s a one Chicago,
Illinois Congressman, the Honorable Luis
Gutierrez. Cong. Gutierrez, of Puerto Rican ancestry and American born, has
gone beyond the call of duty for ALL undocumented immigrants and of all colors
without exception. What impressed me the most about Cong. Gutierrez, was when I
saw him one night on the evening national Spanish language Univision Corp. news
media, was when he was being arrested at what I believed to had been by the
Washington D.C. police during a pro-immigrant rights demonstration as he wore
what I believe was a T-shirt with emblazoned; “ARREST ME, …NOT MY FRIENDS!”
…And as of recent, he was also arrested again at an immigrant rights protest.

Hmmmmmm…., I have yet to see any of our own Chicano
Congressmen “leaders” at these demonstrations alongside with Cong. Gutierrez..,

he will run as the next U.S. President after our popular elected President
Barack H. Obama’s 2nd term expires in 2016. In the meantime, I urge
ALL our FB friend readers and others to send Cong. Gutierrez a message to
encourage him to run when his turn at bat comes up. This message also goes out
to those who will become Naturalized American citizens before 2016 and VOTE for
Cong. Gutierrez!. WE owe him big time.., at least I do! He has merited and

musicians, composers, singers, poets, painters, muralists, writers, etc., of
all colors, including progressive whites, without asking nothing personal in
return, have given their all to be at the forefront and center, engaging OUR
enemy forces! They have participated in every facet of the good fights for the
rights of social-political causes of every genre. In the final analysis these
unselfish warriors have paid a high price on a personal basis. Regrettably, on

understand that there have been dissident activists in the resistance since the
initial invasion of this continent by the European colonizers, from Native
Americans, former Black slaves, Asian Americans, colonized RAZA and white anti-slavery
abolitionists since slavery days to present date. Anti-fascist Brown RAZA

After consulting with my fellow revolutionary like minded
activist, Terry Tucker, a Black writer in his own right, about this specific
topic of Black and Brown racism in both of OUR communities which has ALWAYS
been perpetuated by OUR common enemies, he made the following observation
analysis. As one who resides in the nearby Black community of South Central L.A.,
which is where Tucker formerly grew up, I asked him to collaborate with me on
this following important subject that affects us ALL Blacks and Browns.
I sincerely felt I was getting into a very delicate insight
sphere of a theme that has almost never been discussed at length nor exposed
in-depth by two voices within a Black and Brown perspective with all due
candor. We both understand that social activism in many instances has somewhat
been “romanticized”, stereotyped and also vilified by our adversaries who would
want nothing more than for us all anti-fascist freedom fighters “holding the
fort” freedom fighters, to disappear altogether, especially Blacks and Browns,
because they consider us as a thorn and an obstacle on their evil white
supremacy side as they see their once Euro-American empire crumbling before
their very own eyes…, which it’s a FACT of life and its just a matter of time
as history is on OUR side as WE
overpopulate them with our vast numbers…, and not with just Black and Brown
folks!
However, there exists a very large part of our Black and
Brown population in particular, who suffer from the “Ostrich Syndrome” aka total
apathy! (I will delve further on this subject matter in a future column about
the meaning and significance of “The Ostrich Syndrome” and “The Alamo Syndrome”
which many renegade HI-spanic Judases seem to be contaminated with this
malady.) Just like there are countless of self-hating Stepnfetchit house
kneegrows, there are also an equal number, or more, of Generic HI-spanic RACE
TRAITORS whose white washed minds have been conditioned to “think” white and
defend their plantation/hacienda masters /patrones like junkyard Pit Bull guard
dogs. These I term “Brown rednecks” because they behave with an adamant
self-hating mindset as if they are psychologically damaged with a severe
infectious riddled puss mental disease throughout Aztlan and at-large. They
call themselves “conservative Americans’, but all they are, is a disgraced and disgruntled
self-hating terminal cancerous “brown” epidemic with no cure in sight! They are
OUR biggest obstacles to liberate Aztlan from white racist Xenophobe
domination! With these kind of “brown” parasites among OUR midst, it’s an
arduous task, but NEVER impossible!

HI-spanics has ALWAYS remained as a classic acute problem, from the Lone Star state
of Texas to California, my adoptive sate since 1971 and throughout AmeriKKKa as
an “epidemic” of great proportions among many, but not all! It has been my own personal experience which
is not a rarity to find those miscreant “brownies” that look like me, who
refuse to acknowledge their native culture and language: “Oh no! I’m not from Mexico…,
I’m American born!” or “I’m not a wetback…, I was born an American!” etc. etc.
Here is a good one from one of my relatives who told me his own personal life
experience as a Chicano when he met a girl whom he thought she was a “Latina”
herself; “Oh no! I might look Hispanic, but I’m actually white! My surname is
Hispanic, but no, I’m not Mexican! I might have maybe a leeeeee…ttle bit of Latina
in me, but oh no, I’m still white!” My relative told me that her physical
features looked indigenous that of a dark skin Mexican and with a HI-spanic
surname, but she adamantly claimed to be “white” as she denied her Mexican
ancestry roots. He went on further to elaborate how she continued to say that she
did not understand nor spoke Espanol to boot!
These kind of self-hating deniers even have a tendency to
look down on their own Brown brethren in general. These little to be desired
“human” two legged rodents in question are termed; “agringado” (Anglicized)
HI-spanics who are also vilified simply as; “Coconuts” (Brown from the inside…,
white on the outside), “Tio Taco” (“Uncle Taco aka Uncle Tom”), “Vendidos”
(Sellout), “Malinchista” (Race Traitor) and much, much worse! Black America
does not necessarily have a monopoly on RACE TRAITORS as demonstrated here.
These types of HI-spanic Coconuts are prevalent throughout Aztlan, within,
without and beyond the AmeriKKKan Diaspora boundaries.

“Justice”, Clarence Thomas is not alone on the list of national prominent
self-hating Stepnfetchit house kneegrow Judases. Oh no! Former Republican
President, George Bush’s, U.S. Attorney General, Alberto “Albertito” Gonzalez,
whom I would categorize as the close # 2,
next to Thomas, as one of those Judases in abundance found in OUR barrios of
generic HI-spanic serape and guarache (Mexican sandals) wearing Coconuts; “et
tu Albertito el traidor?” (Is that you Albertito the traitor?”).
Gonzalez was interviewed some time ago by Univision’s
Spanish language television program; “Al Punto”, hosted by Jorge Ramos. During
Ramo’s interview, Gonzalez spoke only in his gutter “impeccable” Euro-American
English language…, and to add insult to injury to his “Mexican” roots, he
actually spoke with a deep Texas
white redneck drawl! He did not even make an attempt to say a few words in
Espanol! There is no doubt he turned his back on his first native language of
his parents and grandparents. As I listened to him speak during this Univision
interview for a few seconds, all I could hear was Gonzalez speak with a
flawless Anglo Texas Southern redneck “Johnny Reb” accent as if he was a
Confederate flag cheer leader at a football game…, the KKKlaner KKKlowns vs the
Goose Stepping Seig Heilers! I was aghast! Had I not seen him while he was
speaking, I could have sworn that it was an actual white redneck whom Ramos was
“interviewing”, and not a “Gonzalez”…, the bootlicking HI-spanic RACE TRAITOR
himself! It was hilarious at “best”! Gonzalez reminded of a David Chapelle
comedy skit where he portrayed a blind Klansman unaware that he was Black all
along and never knew it! Alberto Gonzalez fitted that exact character! He never
knew he was a “Mexican American” all along since birth! OMG! I just forgot!
…Why, he’s married to a white woman! Oh…, that’s why! Duh!
“Albertito” is not the only one who suffers from an ethnic
and cultural identity as a “confused” HI-spanic, including self-hatred for his
Brown race, but once in a while when I visit my native Brownsville, Texas,
located on the very Southern tip of the Rio Grande Valley or in Houston where I
lived during my teenage years before entering the military service in 1966, I
have encountered quite an extensive array of dark skin “brown” rednecks of all
ages who think they can “pass” for gringos (whites) and be “accepted” by their
white “friends”. Many even refuse to speak their own native language in spite
that many of these clueless and confused “brownies” speak and understand
Espanol, but adamantly refused to acknowledge who and what they are!
What these HI-spanic renegades do not realize is that they
are just pawns of manipulation by their gringo pseudo “friends”. It’s ironic
that their “white friends” laugh at them behind their backs as they try to pit
one Brown against another Brown…, American born RAZA citizens against their own
Brown RAZA undocumented immigrant non-citizens, “los mojaditos” (“the
wetbacks”) as they are denigrated by their own Americanized HI-spanic brethren.
I personally know this kind of pseudo HI-spanics with this demeanor that abounds in our midst today. These types
also tend to be infested with this same mindset terminal self-hating disease as
far as I can remember since my growing years in Texas
some 50-55 years ago. I consider them as an epidemic “brown” sewer cesspool
without a cure, but then again, some have been “rescued” in their long and
short process of life. I should know…, I’m no different, as I was formerly one
of them too!
Case in point, by sheer coincidence, my wife had a 3:15 PM
Optometrist’s clinical appointment on 3/31/12 at the nearby Kaiser Medical
Clinic located on Beverly and Atlantic Blvds. and the above paragraph subject
at hand played out as “Act I”! After my wife’s eyes were examined, then she was
sent, with me at her side, to select the type of eye glasses she liked. A very
young professional man, name not important, attended her as he spoke to her in English which my wife
understands and speaks it somewhat, as I interrupted his conversation and
interjected as I asked him politely in OUR native language of Espanol;
“Despense usted senor, pero podria hacernos el favor de hablar con ella en
Espanol, si?” (“Excuse me sir, but could you do us a favor and speak to her en
Spanish, yes?”) The HI-spanic technician’s reply; “I don’t speak Spanish.” In
an above normal sarcastic tone I replied; “Oh! I’m so sorry; I thought you were
a Mexican like me!” The young man looked at me startled as the other patients
in the waiting room and his colleagues winced like as if I had insulted him.
One lady in waiting for her turn, did wink her right eye and smiled in silent
approval. Did I have any regrets about this incident? Not one iota! I hope that
maybe…, just maybe, I woke him up from his stupor of naiveness and ignorance,
that hopefully and maybe he also gained had one drop of “decency” to raise his
own cultural and language conscience! This is NOT the first time I have done
this kind of “antics”. I’m well known to pull stuff like this…, even at my
workplace!
Hell, some 50 years ago, as a
grade school kid at Skinner Elem. in Brownsville,
Texas, WE Mexican kids played “Davy
Crockett and Mexicans”! All of us Brown kids wanted to be Davy Crockett, (the
white racist invading colonizer), but no one wanted to play a Mexican! “No, you
be a Mexican today…, today you die…, and I play Davy Crockett!” Subconsciously
and unwittingly, we grade school kids were already on the first stages of being
the self-hating Mexicans indoctrination!
This was no different many
decades ago when a Black psychologist introduced several dolls of different
colors and asked grade school kids in the old BLACK JIM CROW segregated Deep
South to choose what color of dolls these children would prefer to
be like. Most of those Black kids chose the white dolls! In a nut shell, what
it all came down to, was that these Black and Brown children back then, were the
victims of conditioning to hate oneself if you were not of white European ancestry!
I’m looking forward to the days
up ahead and return to my birthplace and be politically active as a volunteer
community worker and help organize and enjoy “rattling the cages” against those
status quo entrenched specific indifferent politicos. In the meantime I’m just
bidding my time as I count my days to arrival time down there. With time, I
have already established an organizing cadre of volunteers base from this city
who have indicated they want to participate and help organize within their own
communities. Some of these volunteers are from the youth and not so young
citizens and non-citizens alike of Brownsville
and the surround cities of the Lower Rio
Grande Valley
area. Who knows! Maybe once word gets out to the status quo that a “radical
trouble maker” has arrived to “muddle the waters” on their turf! …And that’s
what I expect it to be their reaction!
Many community social-political activists are known to have
been shunned by their own immediate families, wives, husbands, children, other
distant relatives and others whom they thought were their “friends” at one time
or another. They were treated as outcasts just because these “outspoken
radicals” were seen as “unAmerican” and not towing the American “mainstream”
political two party system mindset. Like many, we activists were told in no
uncertain terms of their disapproval, because we “made too much noise as
non-conformists”! Many of us in the trenches are still not seen with much
approval…, nor do I expect them to! People like us are considered as subversive
malcontents who are “riling up the natives”!
Yet, on the other side of the social political equation,
some still have relatives that do tolerate their fellow “radical” relatives and
friends. I couldn’t ask for anything more from my own entire family members
here in L.A. who have allowed me this vital freedom, and I deeply thank
them for their tolerance to do what is in my heart and soul as a vocation and
duty to my RAZA and other fellow oppressed brethren. To my family I thank them
for that! It’s important to note that other comrades’ at-arms within the
struggle have not fared well as I have in some instances!
Most of these activist’s former families have mainly become
“assimilated” with the so called “White Conservative Middle America” status quo
camp as they turn their backs on their language, culture and identity. Most
“non-conformist” activists, who do not tow their family’s “conservative” line,
are ignored, perceived and treated as pariahs. Their conservative pseudo
“Christian” families hope that their white or HI-spanic like minded friends
will never find out about their “leftist” unsavory relatives hidden from view
somewhere in their closets. Many of these families are bluntly intolerant,
outright embarrassed and feel ashamed of their friends finding out that one of
their own is a “liberal”, or worse…, a “leftist radical”!.
Other activists have unfortunately had their own kinfolks
outright disappear from the family “radar screen” with an unwritten subtle
message; “We don’t know you and we do not want to be bothered and don’t bring
your political stuff to us.” Other close families will “tolerate” them because
their kinship…, but as long as they are kept at bay from their friends and
acquaintances. They don’t want to be an “embarrassment” to the “family name”. Some
of these leftists families have outright told them at the dinner table; “I am
ashamed of you!” This happened to a friend of mine, a fellow Tejano, whose own
adult married daughter told him outright while visiting her and his grandkids.
He was totally devastated, but kept his composure and didn’t reply for family’s
sake and his grandkids as well. In spite of this family setback, he continues
what he loves to do best…, being a leftist political activist thorn on the side
of the family nay sayers and political adversaries.
What I have just previously described is what I call, part
of the American “Cultural Genocide by Assimilation” or “guilty by association”.
Some of these “lefties” relative’s younger offspring are also influenced to
adamantly stay away from their “radical” relatives by all means! These confused
children are just following their cue from their own parents to shun “those strange
relatives” even if they are their own blood brothers and sisters, and without
explanation. In return, those activist
outcasts just pretend not to faze them, but they will always know “what time it
is” within their narrow minded “conservative” families. …And that’s only part of the hefty price to
pay for anyone’s political beliefs and activism to live by. I too am a product
of that rejectionist family mindset which I had to endure from my out of state
relatives too. Thank goodness my California
family here might not totally agree with my actions, but they understand why
I’m doing it! My immediate family here is all that matters.

I know of one such specific case that comes to mind. A
Chicano (Mexican American) community pro-immigrant activist, name is not
important, residing in Los Angeles, California as he tried to find his long
lost daughter in Texas whom he has not seen in 25 -35 years. He saw her last
when she was just a small child a few times before migrating to Los
Angeles, California in 1971. He
saw his daughter for the last time when she was in her early teens when he took
his son (now married with children himself) from a second relationship, (with
whom he still stays in contact with him to this day) and her to the movies at a
downtown theater in Houston. His
attempts to locate her thereafter were futile until another few years later
when he once again spoke with her very briefly only via telephone from L.A.
At that time he was surprised to find out that he now had a granddaughter too.
He was elated at that news without a doubt, but has NEVER met her in person to
this present day.
Years later in the mid 1980s or so, by a fluke of accident,
he found out about a cousin of his daughter who resided at a nearby city, Torrance,
and whom he knew was close to his estranged daughter and granddaughter. When
his daughter was a child of about 5 years old, this particular cousin was just
a teenager who lived with his parents who were taking care of this activist’s
child. However, some 40 years or so later,, when his daughter’s cousin was
contacted via telephone, he denied about having any type of communication
whatsoever with his daughter or granddaughter whatsoever but this father and
grandfather still went along with the cousin while suspecting that he was
simply covering up for both of them. He (the father) had his strong suspicions
about his daughter’s cousin, whom he thought was outright lying and being
insincere, but endured it and hoped for the best that in the final outcome he
might’ve eventually had a change of heart and open up with the truth…, but that
never happened!
That “hope” never materialized! Eventually it became very
obvious that the evasive cousin was not about to help him in any shape, form or
manner. Then again, there was no doubt in the father’s mind that from the
outset of his search for his daughter, that besides the cousin, there was also
a strong inkling that there was a network of family involvement resistance with
obstacles set in motion to locate his long lost family. His (the father) other
suspicion was a conspiracy that was
set by his daughter’s cousin in Torrance
and all the way originating in Houston by his former ex-wife, daughter and
probably his own granddaughter whom she was also warned about her “persona non
grata” grandfather. He also suspected that it might have been his own daughter
or ex-wife in Houston who probably
told their relative in Torrance, not
to divulge any information about their whereabouts. This too was not far from
his mind, but nevertheless he was on a do or die quest to make some type of
contact with his daughter or granddaughter. In the final analysis, he realized
it was a losing uphill battle no matter how much he tried to outwit this
relative in Torrance. After a long
psychological “chess game” of wits with his daughter’s cousin, it dawned on
him, that it was never meant to succeed all the way around, but he never gave
up to his last minute. For his daughter and granddaughter, he was willing to
sell his soul to the Devil if need be to at least be able to hear their voices at
least once in a lifetime if need be just for a few mere seconds if at all
possible, but nothing that he tried in vain worked either! He also understood
that the odds were against him from the very outset. He also finally accepted
the FACT he lost one daughter and a granddaughter, but he was thankful he had a
son and two loving small granddaughters in the same metropolitan Houston
area which he has bonded and are in close touch on a regular basis to this day.
After several years of the father pretending to feign
ignorance of his daughter’s cousin cajoling and cover-up facade, it also finally
woke up to the fact that no matter how much time he would continue to tolerate
his lies; those whom he loved the most were not accepting his attempts to
contact them under any circumstances. …And what this desperate father wanted
was to contact his daughter he hadn’t seen in over 40 years and a granddaughter
he had never met in person but had spoken to her a few times as a small child.
However, by sheer coincidence he was introduced to the Face Book site a few
years ago, the first on his mind was to locate both of them on Face Book and
hoped for the best. After all, he thought, what was there to lose, right?! After carefully going through her daughter
and granddaughter’s Face Book page, he finally located them! After finding them
on cyber space, he immediately proceeded in his attempt to communicate with
them. However, when he tried to communicate with his daughter on Face Book, she
immediately cancelled out her account…, entirely! As for the granddaughter…?
Her Face Book account is still active and has not shut hers off, but has never
replied to any of his countless requests to communicate with her either.
It took some time for reality to finally set in as he
accepted the fact that it would be best to end his long time quest to contact
them altogether. He came to the final conclusion that maybe would be not fond for
the Face Book friends to find out that their father/grandfather is an active leftist
radical who did not fit into their already “assimilated” influenced white world,
as he suspected after checking her list of “friends”, which consisted mostly of
white people. As he dug more info from both of their Face Book friends, the
father/grandfather understood why. His granddaughter is half white which it did
not matter in the least bit to him. The disappointed father decided to just end
it all right there and then and give it all up and cease his search for them altogether
by letting it die as a lost cause. Thereafter, he no longer made any more
attempts to communicate with them any further to present date, except for one
last attempt recently. As was expected…, no reply forthcoming any time soon or
probably never.
The last time I heard from this Chicano community activist,
he went on with his life and stayed true to his revolutionary pro-immigrant
rights activist and participating on other popular causes. The irony of it all
is that through the technology of the internet, Face Book pictures, he only
knows them how both women look like today. When he first saw their pictures for
the very first time on Face Book, he was so elated. He tried one more last time
to contact them, but as was expected, he was met with sheer silence and no
reply from either one. He eventually got a “reply” of sorts, not by his own
daughter/granddaughter, but was also admonished by some unidentified white person
via e-mail, possibly a friend of theirs. She had a white last name, and told
him to cease and desist to contact his daughter and granddaughter altogether,
because they did not want to be bothered whatsoever. …And that was the end of
that entire chapter of his life quest. At the same time, what finally confirmed
his suspicions was that he entered his daughter’s cover up lying cousin in Torrance Face Book account and saw
his granddaughter as a “friend” accepted account. He was totally convinced that
the cover-up scheme had been truly in motion from its inception! He had been
lied to, just as he suspected all along!
For now, I want to best focus on a very small portion on the
experiences of innumerable frontline movement activists who have faced the
good, the bad and the ugly times throughout their activist movement lives. The
young “Turks” today are seriously ever so contemplating of joining the fray in
the struggle as well. I’m in the firm belief that it’s of the utmost importance
to adamantly encourage these “old guard (50 years old and over) activists to
mentor the “new guard” cadre waiting in the wings as WE increase our Brown
numbers. Besides our increasing Brown soldiers of Aztlan, WE must have an
agenda to act as one single united front and march towards the white
supremacist enemy and their lackeys of “color”, towards the battle trenches.
It’s important to note that in most of all demonstrations and rallies,
activists are made up of ALL ages, colors and nationalities, including many
anti-fascist fellow working class progressive white Americans. Many of these progressive
militant whites have been my close friends for decades. These progressive
decent non-racist white people, I’m proud to call them my revolutionary
brothers and sisters in OUR common anti-fascist struggle…, PERIOD!
‘THE OPPRESSED MUST NEVER BECOME THE OPPRESSORS!”
A few years ago, during one of my annual visits to my native
Brownsville, a medium size city of almost half a million or more inhabitants, I
attended a family event that took place at a local public special events rental
Hall; I couldn’t believe how well the invited guests, like ducks on water,
mostly Latinos, danced to that famous country western “Two Step” cadence with
precision. Many even sported the standard western cowboy hats, boots and
anything to look and feel “Tejano” (“Texan”). But I felt more at home when OUR
Tex-Mex music was also played that evening. In my perspective, our Tex-Mex
music had a more colorful cultural flavor to my taste…, musically speaking that
is. There was no doubt; I was unequivocally convinced that our own Tex-Mex
Tejano music is an icon all of its own that even those gringo Texans down
“thar” could never wrest from us! Maybe it’s because I have been hearing this
type of Tejano music since my growing days at my old Brownsville
barrio of “El Ramireno”. OUR Tex-Mex Tejano music is what Jazz and Blues is to
Black America. Tex-Mex music is like a good wine left to age. The more time
passes with age OUR Tejano music is appreciated moreso and gets better!
Our overwhelming Brown population and political numbers are
there in the Southwest RGV (Rio
Grande Valley) and
beyond, from San Antonio, Corpus
Christi and all the way down to Brownsville
which I view as the Aztlan prototype model of self-government, exclusively by
RAZA! The white population residing in the RGV on the aforementioned
territories is the minority in most of ALL facets of RAZA life there! This also
includes many, and growing, of RAZA on the border cities from Brownsville,
Texas to San Diego,
California. Yet, one would think that the
voices of all the majority of Brown people in those areas of contention would
sound passive or apathetic as it has been erroneously perceived for many
decades after the forced colonization of our occupied Mexican territories.
As it turns out, because of the BROWN JUAN CUERVO
anti-immigrant xenophobe hysteria, our voices are now turning into a vociferous
loud unified erupting awaken volcano that is flowing Brown sizzling lava as the
“meltdown” of gringolandia “assimilation” which is self-obliterating from
within and without…, and without US ever having to fire one single shot in
anger! Yes, most of those Tex-Mex Tejanos in the Rio Grande Valley and
elsewhere located in those U.S./Mexico border towns, tend to be “conservative”,
but the youth of today are making those changes themselves as they become more
progressive, economically, historically and culturally aware as to who they are.
Most of the previous generations of Tejanos are still clinging to their “Alamo
Syndrome” mentality as many are still taught in many of their Texas public
schools that the white infidel savage interloping invaders at the Alamo, i.e.,
Davey CrocKKett, Col. Travis and a few “messkins” died for their gringo slave
masters “freedom” too! Yep! These “defending messkins” at the Alamo
swallowed this big LIE, hook, line and sinker alright! Yet, I strongly feel
there is still hope for those young upcoming Chicanos in Tejas today who are
questioning their own Brown Tejano
history and the watered down white Texas HIS-story revisionist LIES !
One of the most negative and persistent problems that still
exists since 50 years ago in Brownsville, is that many, but not all, of our own
Brown Tejanos in the RGV, are still hoodwinked to vote for Republicans who keep
lying to them with false illusions and false
promises that are never kept. Unfortunately, a great percentage of the RAZA
voters there fall into their Republican evil schemes by any means just to
obtain the Brown vote!
I vividly remember in the late 1950s, the only time I would
see “los gueros” (Anglos) from both parties, come to our neighborhoods, only
when it was near election time as these local political candidates would come
with giveaway trinkets (Like the white man gave trinkets and Small Pox disease
contaminated blankets to the Indigenous Natives 500 years ago!), and to remind
my parents to vote for them..., and thereafter they were never seen again until
re-election time! Unfortunately, this is still pervasive today in many parts of
Texas and throughout Aztlan!
Today, these same opportunistic “gueros” are just mostly a speck of mute
“roaring” pussy cats in our RGV geographic screen. They are now a minuscule
minority in RGV politics who have no chance of regaining their white power
structure of yore! The tide has turned in OUR favor, but much work lies ahead
to be done in VOTER REGISTRATION drives to elect those who look like us or
others who really have OUR best interests at heart. The recent re-election of our President,
Barack H. Obama was a done deal with 71% of the Brown vote which speaks for
itself hands down! Yes gringolandia, our Brown VOTES are no longer for sale!
BEWARE RAZA! OUR EVIL REPUBICAN POWERS THAT BE ATTEMPTED
EVERYTHING TO SUPPRESS OUR BROWN VOTING POWER, BUT THEY FAILED…, THIS TIME!
“THOSE WHO STAY SILENT, NOT SPEAK OUT, WILL NOT FIGHT OR
ORGANIZE IN BEHALF OF THEIR FELLOW OPPRESSED PEOPLE…, ARE JUST AS GUILTY AS OUR
ENEMY OPPRESSORS!”
At the same time, here in San Diego
County, California, it’s no
different with the same apartheid BROWN JUAN CUERVO anti-immigrant sentiments
by the Republican Tea Party extremist adherents in power at this point in time.
Oh yes, as previously mentioned, there are also a few “Blue Dog” bigoted
“democrats” in our midst included! A few years ago, two Mexican American born
minor Elementary school children were legally reinstated via the judicial court
system due to their previous expulsion from their school, because the local
school board “authorities” accused them of not living in California,
but in Mexico. (That’s
the exact same story of my life as a grade student in Matamoros,
Mexico / Brownsville,
Texas too.)
The court later proved these “accusations” were all to the contrary.
During this “legal” melee, these children missed out in school classes for
almost two months as it was reported according to Univision Spanish language
news media. Make no mistake…, this is part of an American impending RACE WAR
set in motion by our white supremacist Republican adversaries in power and their
zealot “conservative” adherents!
